Corporate Experience | KPMG & Jotun | BS in Accounting & Finance | Part-Qualified ACCA | Educational & Career Advisor

 My name is Waleed Shaheen, with a BS (Hons) in Accounting and Finance . This four-year degree has given me a strong understanding of Accounting,  Auditing, Taxation, and Business Management.  

During my studies, I developed a strong interest in Accounting and Finance. I completed internships at KPMG  Pakistan and Jotun Powder Coatings (Pvt.) Ltd. At KPMG, I  worked in the Tax Department, learning about tax filing processes in Pakistan and how to register and manage  business operations. At Jotun, I assisted the Finance Department with administrative tasks, maintained  financial records, and updated stock records in the system. These experiences enhanced my practical knowledge and helped me develop  teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.  

Based on my academic background, I have received nine exemptions through the academic route from the  Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. These exemptions reflect the strength and  international recognition of my undergraduate studies and the accounting foundation I have already developed.  I plan to pursue the remaining ACCA examinations as part of my long-term professional development. 

 In addition to my academic background, I have completed  International Trade Management &  Import–Export Procedures with Documentation, offered by the Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM)  under the Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan. These programs have enhanced my  practical knowledge of accounting, corporate finance, and international business, complementing my preparation  for advanced studies in Accountancy. 

 I aim to contribute to the Accounting and Finance profession and professional development. I also aspire to  work with leading companies and to establish a successful and impactful career in the Accounting and Finance  sector.
